Hanover - modern city of congress with cultural flair
Hanover is the capital city of the German state Lower Saxony and a
former royal residence. The city has a famous exhibition
centre which is the largest exhibition area worldwide. At this
exhibition centre the CeBIT takes place every spring. Furthermore there can be
explored many cultural and historical sights: the old town with medieval half-timbered
houses, the old and the new Town Hall, the market church, the Opera house and numerous
museums. In addition Hanover offers many possibilities for leisure activities: Whether cycling,
jogging, skating or rowing – the local recreation area Maschsee Lake and the natural parks of the region promise pure recreation.
