Monheim is a charming little town, which has an interesting offer concerning culture and recreational. You should not miss to spend a visit to the historic town with buildings from the 15th century. There is also a pedestrian zone where you can do some shopping and afterwards relax in one of the many cafés and restaurants.
If you want to go for a walk or a cycle tour there are many roads near the river Rhine or through the forest "Knipprath". Furthermore there are bowling centres, riding stables and the indoor swimming pool "mona mare" offers a good time the whole year through.
